We’re well into the season now, and with the official leaderboards finally live, we can clearly see which builds are truly dominating. When combined with the unofficial Pit leaderboards, they give us an excellent overview of the strongest and most effective builds this season.
In this guide, we’ll cover the top two builds for each class. The idea is simple: if you don’t enjoy the rank one build, you still have a powerful rank two alternative. Each build will be briefly explained to give you a sense of its strengths and playstyle, with full build guides linked separately.
Necromancer
Despite being considered one of the weaker classes overall, Necromancer is not far behind the rest this season.
Rank 1: Shadow Blight Necromancer
This build relies entirely on the Shadow Blight key passive, stacking massive sources of shadow damage until enemies simply melt. After recent nerfs to competing builds, Shadow Blight has risen to the top for high-end Pit pushing. However, it’s slow and clunky for general gameplay, making it best suited purely for pushing.
Rank 2 (Tie): Blood Wave & Golem Stalker
Blood Wave Necromancer is one of the most fun builds available, offering strong damage, simple gameplay, and excellent cooldown loops.
Golem Stalker benefits from recent minion buffs and the Grave Bloom Mace, making it an all-around powerhouse that excels at bosses, farming, and pushing with minimal effort.
Sorcerer
Sorcerer remains one of the most popular and effective classes this season.
Rank 1: Crackling Energy Sorcerer
Powered by Isidora’s Overflowing Cameo, this build turns Crackling Energy from a weak mechanic into a devastating damage engine. By stacking shock skill ranks and spawning massive amounts of Crackling Energy, this build offers both high damage and fast-paced gameplay.
Rank 2: Frozen Orb Sorcerer
After receiving major buffs, Frozen Orb has returned as a fan favorite. Improvements to enhancements and Fractured Winterglass pushed it from a mid-tier option into a strong and enjoyable alternative, especially for players who want something different from Crackling Energy.
Druid
Rank 1: Pulverize Druid
Simple, powerful, and effective. With Rotting Lightbringer and consistent buffs to Pulverize, this build dominates Druid leaderboards. It’s viable from early leveling all the way to the highest Pit tiers.
Rank 2: Companion Druid
Once considered weak, companion builds are now top-tier thanks to multiple buffs, strong uniques, and excellent scaling. Wolves and Ravens both offer relaxed gameplay and strong performance across all content.
Rogue
Rank 1: Heartseeker Rogue
One of the strongest Rogue builds this season, capable of both pushing and farming. While the optimal setup can feel clunky due to reload mechanics, alternative setups remain extremely effective and far more enjoyable.
Rank 2: Death Trap Rogue
A long-time favorite for both Pit pushing and speed farming. Once fully optimized, this build allows near one-button gameplay with incredible mobility and clear speed.
Barbarian
Rank 1: Hammer of the Ancients (HotA)
With maximum Fury scaling returning, HotA is back at the top. By stacking Fury and synergizing with powerful uniques, this build delivers insane damage and near-immortality at high gear levels.
Rank 2: Lunging Strike Barbarian
Fast, aggressive, and extremely fun. Lunging Strike offers excellent mobility and strong scaling, making it a great alternative for players who want speed and simplicity.
Spiritborn
Rank 1: Payback Spiritborn
One of the most fun and satisfying builds this season. By stacking maximum resources and abusing powerful uniques, Payback delivers massive damage, constant Overpower procs, and smooth gameplay.
Rank 2: Evade Spiritborn
The ultimate speed-farming build. While weaker than previous seasons, it remains unmatched for fast clears and mobility.
Paladin
Paladin stands far above every other class this season.
Rank 1: Judgment Paladin
Capable of clearing into Pit 140+, this build delivers absurd damage through Judgment detonations and powerful aspect synergies. While clunky for general gameplay, it’s the undisputed king of pushing.
Rank 2: Zenith Paladin
An underrated but incredibly stylish build centered around Zenith. With strong attack speed scaling and clever cooldown interactions, it offers impressive damage and a refreshing alternative to Judgment.
This season’s meta offers a wide variety of powerful and enjoyable builds across all classes. Whether you’re pushing the highest Pit tiers or looking for fast farming and fun gameplay, there’s a strong option available for everyone.
