Season 11 of Diablo IV has shaken up the leveling game. If you’re still grinding deep tiers of The Pit, you might be doing extra work for less reward. The new trend? Wild boss farming, especially targeting big names like Azmodan.
In previous seasons, Pit runs were king. Pit 150, anyone? Clearing floors, miniboss after miniboss, just to hit the main boss. Sure, it gave XP, but now overworld bosses give far more XP per minute, making them the hottest farming targets.
For example:
A single Azmodan kill can net around 70 million XP.
Pit 150? About 15 million XP.
One Azmodan kill = five Pit runs. That alone makes the old method feel slow and clunky.
Azmodan is the headliner this season. Here’s why:
Huge XP per kill (~70 million).
Spawns regularly, easy to find in public worlds.
Drops loot, gold, and seasonal goodies on top of XP.
Pro tip: Bring friends for a faster kill, but even solo players can rack up massive XP with smart rotations. Add XP‑boosting potions and incense, and you’re golden.
While Azmodan hits big, lair bosses like Urivar and Tormented Lilith are your ticket to stacking XP fast:
Urivar can die in under 30 seconds — perfect for high XP per hour.
Tormented Lilith gives slightly more XP per kill but takes a bit longer.
Reset your game after each kill to farm them repeatedly. No waiting around for spawns. Efficiency at its finest.
More XP per action: Bosses now outpace dungeon runs in raw XP.
Less grind, more fun: Skip endless minion trash mobs and jump straight into epic fights.
Stack buffs easily: Use XP potions, shrines, and party bonuses for even bigger gains.
Here’s how I run my XP loops in Season 11:
Season 11 isn’t about grinding Pit floors anymore. It’s about smart farming, targeting bosses that give you the most XP in the shortest time. Azmodan and other lair bosses are now the backbone of endgame progression.
If you want to climb Paragon levels fast and enjoy the ride, let the monsters themselves be your ladder — your XP will skyrocket.
