With the arrival of the Riven Tides update in Arc Raiders, players are now facing one of the most punishing enemies in the game — the ARC Turbine. It may look calm as it glides overhead, but don’t be fooled. Engage it the wrong way, and you’ll immediately be dealing with a storm of mines, tracking missiles, and relentless lightning strikes.

The good news is that this fight isn’t about brute force. Once you understand how the Turbine behaves, you can control the encounter and bring it down much more efficiently.

What is the ARC Turbine

The ARC Turbine is designed to dominate from the air. While it’s flying, its armor absorbs most incoming damage, making any early aggression a mistake. On top of that, it actively punishes players who try to attack it at the wrong time by flooding the battlefield with explosives and electrical attacks.

Because of this, the fight is less about constant shooting and more about timing. If you rush in without a plan, you’ll waste resources and likely get overwhelmed.

Where To Find ARC Turbine

You won’t see a Turbine at the start of a match. It only shows up after the session has been running for a while, usually around the 15-minute mark. When it finally enters the map, it makes a dramatic arrival from the sky, complete with a loud sound and a visible descent trail.

That moment is your cue. Pay attention to where it lands and move quickly in that direction. The longer you wait, the harder it becomes to track, since it will patrol different areas after touching down.

How to destroy the ARC Turbine

The most important rule is simple: do not attack while it’s airborne. Its defenses are too strong, and its counterattacks are too dangerous. Instead, stay close to solid cover and wait for it to land.

When the Turbine lands, it briefly exposes its core. This is the only moment where you can deal meaningful damage. Inside the base, you’ll notice spinning components — these are the weak spots you need to hit.

The window is short, so accuracy matters more than volume. Weapons that can deliver consistent bursts without interruption tend to perform best here. You don’t have time to reload or adjust too much, so every shot needs to count.

Anvil - High fire rate, no reload needed during the short canister window
Hullcracker - Strong damage output against the canisters specifically

After taking damage, the Turbine lifts back into the air and immediately retaliates. It launches projectiles upward that split into multiple lightning strikes, covering a wide area in unpredictable patterns.

Trying to dodge this in the open rarely works. Your best option is to retreat to cover as soon as you finish attacking. Stay hidden, let the attack pass, and prepare for the next cycle.

The entire fight follows a loop: wait, strike, retreat, survive, and repeat. It may take several rounds before the Turbine finally goes down, but staying consistent is far more effective than playing aggressively. Players who rush the process often end up taking unnecessary damage or missing their damage window entirely.

Why It’s Worth the Effort

Taking down the ARC Turbine rewards you with a Turbine Compressor, an important item tied to the Avian Alarm Project. If you’re progressing through that objective, defeating this enemy isn’t optional — it’s something you’ll need to master.
