The Scavenger's Guide to ARC Raiders: Mastering the "Last Resort" Event
The Rust Belt has never felt more alive—or more dangerous. As I stood on the balcony of the crumbling Panorama Azzurro hotel earlier today, watching an ARC Turbine drift over the shoreline, I realized this event is more than a grind—it’s a masterclass in tactical scavenging.
If you want to secure the exclusive "Junior" outfit and the coveted Hydrologist Backpack, you’ll need more than just bullets. You’ll need a plan.
The Merit Economy: Beyond the Standard Extraction
The core of the "Last Resort" event is the Merit system. Unlike your standard stash value, Merits are the exclusive currency for this event's 21-stage reward track. While every successful raid converts your earned XP into Merits at a rate of 100 XP = 1 Merit, the real "fast-track" to rewards lies in the Miniature Ship Models.
These collectibles are scattered across all maps but have a significantly higher spawn rate within the new coastal zones. To reach the final milestone of 3,150 Merits, you need roughly 315,000 XP—a manageable goal over four weeks, but one that can be dramatically shortened by hunting for high-rarity trinkets.
Hunting the Fleet: Ship Model Rarities
Each model you extract provides a flat Merit boost upon safe return. To maximize your efficiency, you need to know where to look:
Wind Sprite (Common / 5 Merits) & Twilight Compass (Uncommon / 10 Merits): Your bread and butter. Check the sofas and reception tables on the ground floor of the Hotel Panorama Azzurro.
Velocity (Rare / 25 Merits): Often found in the cargo port’s industrial lockers or tucked away in the hotel's northeast hallways.
Sirena Dorata (Epic / 50 Merits) & Leviathan's Crown (Legendary / 250 Merits): The holy grails. These are best found using the Beachcombing mechanic.
Complete the first phase of the Avian Alarm raider project immediately to unlock the Dockmaster’s Detector. When the "Beachcombing" map condition is active, use this tool on the shoreline to uncover buried containers. These open-air spots are high-risk, but they offer the highest drop rates for the Leviathan's Crown.
The reward track is split across three pages. The highlight is the Junior Outfit series, featuring a rugged aesthetic in colorways like "Copper Blue" and "Cobalt." Beyond cosmetics, the track offers functional gear like the Crash Mat—a deployable tool that mitigates fall damage—and a total of 250 Raider Tokens.
The "Last Resort" event rewards exploration and tactical patience. As I successfully extracted with my first Leviathan's Crown clutched in my inventory, the tension was palpable—reminding me why ARC Raiders continues to dominate the extraction genre.
