Destiny 2 Community Challenge: Commander’s Orders Now Live
A new global community event has launched in Destiny 2, bringing Guardians together for a shared PvE objective tied to Zavala’s armory. The challenge tasks players with defeating enemies using specific Vanguard weapons to help reach a collective milestone. If the community succeeds, all eligible participants will receive the Commander’s Salute Emblem as a reward.

During this period, all progress toward the goal is tracked automatically in the background — no manual submissions are required.
How the Challenge Works
To contribute to the event, Guardians only need to equip one of Zavala’s designated weapons and use it during PvE activities. Any enemy defeated with these weapons will automatically count toward the global community progress. Together, players are working toward a shared objective of achieving a total of 15,000,000 enemy defeats using the eligible weapons.

Zavala will also rotate a featured weapon each week, available for Bright Dust if it has not already been unlocked.
Community Reward
If the global target is achieved before the deadline, all participating Guardians will receive: Commander’s Salute Emblem. The reward will be distributed within 30 days after the event ends.
This event is designed to encourage coordinated play across the entire Destiny 2 community. Whether you’re running strikes, patrols, or other PvE content, every defeat contributes to the shared goal.
