Fortnite Chapter 7: Golden Coast and Mythic Loot
Fortnite’s Chapter 7 Season 1 has officially dropped, and it’s shaking things up in all the right ways. From the Golden Coast map to the South Park crossover, plus brand-new bosses, mythic loot, and mobility mechanics, this season gives players a fresh set of challenges and opportunities.
Golden Coast: A Map Full of Personality
The Golden Coast map is nothing short of spectacular. It mixes urban streets, beachfront resorts, and iconic studios, giving players a ton of strategic options. Whether you’re dropping at Battlewood Boulevard for intense early fights, exploring Sandy Strip for loot, or rotating quietly through quieter POIs, the terrain itself changes how every match plays out.
The map isn’t just about looks, though — it’s about movement. Hot-air balloons float across the map, letting you scout, grab loot, or get a high-ground advantage. They’re not the fastest way to travel, but they can make the difference between spotting a hidden opponent or getting caught off guard.
South Park Collides with Fortnite
This season, Fortnite has teamed up with South Park, bringing the hilarious chaos of Stick of Truth to the island. The Stick of Truth is a mythic item that can influence the final storm circle. When a player uses it, the storm instantly shrinks around a chosen location — forcing everyone into high-stakes fights.
On top of that, Cartmanland replaces Wonkeeland, giving players South Park-themed cosmetic rewards, quests, and special items. Items like Kenny’s Respawn Token, which brings you back to life upon elimination, and Cheesy Poofs, which heal and deal damage, add a quirky but strategic layer to gameplay.
Bosses and Mythic Loot
Golden Coast is packed with bosses, and these fights are serious business. Beach Brutus, Hush, and Human Bill appear in random locations, and defeating them drops mythic weapons and transformation kits. Imagine turning into Brutus with extra health and abilities like low-gravity jumps — it’s chaotic, fun, and extremely rewarding, but it comes with risks like revealing your position.
Other mythic weapons are tied to specific challenges. Lift a giant weight at Ripped Tides for the Pinpoint Iron Pump Shotgun, or perform a daring car jump near Classified Canyon to get the Enhanced Enforcer AR. High risk, high reward — just how Fortnite likes it.
New Mobility: Reboot Vans & Hot-Air Balloons
Reviving teammates is smoother this season. Driveable reboot vans let you pick up a downed teammate and drive them to safety, removing the old risk of standing vulnerable.
With the Battle Bus back in play, your landing spot matters more than ever. Chest-heavy locations and smart rotation paths can make or break a match. Early mythic pickups often decide who survives to fight for the Victory Royale.
