GTA 5: Submarine Parts Location List
Submarine Parts are special collectible items tied exclusively to Michael De Santa’s storyline in Grand Theft Auto V. In total, there are 30 metallic submarine fragments to discover, consisting of various hull pieces and mechanical components scattered across the ocean floor.
These collectibles are hidden throughout the coastal waters of San Andreas, turning the search into an immersive underwater scavenger hunt. Each fragment contributes to a larger mystery, expanding the game’s world and connecting to a compelling side story involving Michael De Santa and the mysterious Abigail Mathers.
How to Unlock the Submarine Parts Mission
To start collecting Submarine Parts, players must first advance the main story and complete “The Merryweather Heist” mission. Once this requirement is met, the next step is to purchase the Sonar Collections Dock located in Paleto Cove for $250,000. This property can be bought using any of the three protagonists.
After purchasing the dock, players should switch to Michael and complete the “Death at Sea” Strangers and Freaks mission, which becomes available near the dock. During this mission, Michael encounters Abigail, who explains the task of locating and recovering sunken submarine debris.
Collecting Submarine Parts
Once the introductory mission is completed, Michael gains access to a Dinghy equipped with sonar, along with scuba gear, allowing him to search the ocean depths for submarine parts. With these tools unlocked, players can begin exploring the underwater environments of San Andreas in search of all 30 fragments.
Players can use the Trackify app in combination with the Dinghy’s sonar system to pinpoint nearby parts. Some pieces are located in shallow waters, while others require deep dives. Extra attention is required, as certain parts may be partially buried or hidden within underwater structures.
