
In Path of Exile 2, character customization plays a major role in shaping your build and playstyle. As you advance through the game, you will unlock and equip abilities using different types of skill gems that are discovered during exploration or rewarded from quests.
While Support Gems are designed to modify and strengthen existing skill gems, Spirit Gems serve a different purpose. These gems are created by using an Uncut Spirit Gem, which allows players to craft a Persistent Skill Gem that provides continuous effects or bonuses while active.
